After the death of Elder Jenkins, Elder Polnitz served as interim Pastor until he was appointed Pastor of Great Day Ministries in August 2001 and installed in February 2002 by Bishop Martin L Johnson.

First Lady Tonion Polnitz
Pastor Elder Dexter L Polntiz is an anointed man of God. Being the steadfast leader that he was appointed to be over Great Day Ministries,he has been blessed with a strong supportive woman who stands behind him.
As it's been said, "Behind every great man, there's a great woman." WE have one in First Lady Tonion A Polntiz, our pastor's loving wife. She helps him through his stressful moments and helps him carry the tremendous responsibility leadership on a daily basis.
They are indeed the"ying & yang" the perfect compliment and opposites of each other. As our power couple they can spiritually access each other situations for the best benefit of the congregation as well as their families. First Lady Polntiz has the ability to calm his spirit and focus on his spiritual leader and strength, pick him up encouraging and evaluating him she has shown herself to be a blessing to the Man of God.
First Lady Polntiz is not just the Pastor's wife and first lady of our church but she's also requires our members Women as well as Men to raise their Christian standard's high because she sets and exhibits these same standard's in life as a Wife, Mother and First Lady of Great Day Ministries. She shows us how attainable these standards are just to the young women but to the more mature woman as well.
Our First Lady is out going, creative, kind and very motivated.
As an Evangelist she gives sound spiritual advice even when it might mean a little correction but she does so with the love of God in her heart. Even as our first lady and spiritual leader she is approachable easy to talk, laugh, joke and get a needed hug she has everyone best interest at heart. Name an church event and she's there leading and supporting she gets involved!
As example of motherhood she's raised two lovely daughter's along with her husband and is now raising two young son's. She truly sets a strong example of a steadfast woman of God and Great Day Ministries is blessed for it.
